I am a fully qualified Speech Therapist, specialising in working with adults with acquired communication or swallowing difficulties.
I am based in North Dorset and happy to arrange face to face or online video appointments. I offer a free 30 minute consultation to learn more about your needs, so I can provide the best treatment.
I pride myself on offering an individualised service based on your needs.
I qualified from UCL in 2009 and I have developed specialisation working with:
- Stroke
- Aphasia / Apraxia of Speech / Dyspraxia / Dysarthria
- Neurological diseases e.g. Parkinson’s, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), Multi System Atrophy (MSA), Motor Neurone Disease (MND / ALS) and others.
- Brain injury rehabilitation
- Rehabilitating communication
- Cognitive Communication Disorder from any cause/ etiology
- Capacity issues and assessments
- Functional neurological disorder (FND)
- Dysphagia and swallowing assessment
- Certification in Solution focused brief therapy (SFBT)
- Voice disorders / dysphonia
I have extensive experience working in the NHS and alongside the NHS and have worked in a range of settings including large and small hospitals, Stroke Rehabilitation centres, Specialist Brain Injury Rehabilitation centres and seeing patients in their own homes and in care/nursing homes.
